NARS eye shadow

I love NARS makeup, it is so colourful and it is also good quality. My older sisters always use it, and are always telling me not to use it as it is expensive. Hopefully when my parents go to America towards the end of May, they can bring me back some of their products. I especially love their eyeshadow, it is so bright and sparkly, the names of the colours are also interesting and suit the colours well. I made these gif's myself, and the pictures were sourced from www.narsmakeup.tumblr.com the eyeshadows individually are priced at $23 US dollars each.

A very Royal Wedding

what can I say, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was like a fairytale come true. It was truly a beautiful event. Yet not as beautiful as Kate herself. Kate's dress was designed by Sarah Burton; who was of course Alexander McQueens right hand lady, and took over the label after his death. The dress its self was very simplistic and elegant, thats; compared to Princess Diana's. The whole day was a success, the sun came out from behind the clouds and the ceremony was absolutely magical.
Kate's Mother looked stunning in the duck egg jacket dress and the hat to match. It does help to have amazing legs to show off!
Prince Harry and Prince William looked so handsome in their uniforms. The red on Prince William looked very royal and really suited the occasion.
WOW Kate looks absolutely stunning, I am speechless. The dress of silk and lace that Sarah Burton designed for her looks so sophisticated on. After stepping out of the Rolls Royce ready to enter Westminister Abbey, Kate looks so exited, and she has a beautiful glow upon her face, could she be expecting already?
I was secretly a little jealous of Kate, the wedding was so magical and amazing, this picture cheered me up a little bit :)
The Fergasson girls looked gorgeous, I especially love that bow hat that sits towards the forehead, although the channel seven fashion reporters didn't seem to think the same, they referred it to looking like awkward antlers.
The page boys in red to match William and flowers girls in ivory to match the bride looked so cute, and the made of honour Pippa Middleton looked like she could walk the red carpet! That dress really looked amazing on her. I think that she will get a lot of attention at the reception, even though she already has a boyfriend.
The happy newly wedds; Will and Kate, exiting Westminister Abbey smiling for the millions of people outside to greet them

Prada Spring Summer 2011

Prada has launched into spring with a very colourful campaign and quirky designs. I was shocked when I first saw their s/s 11 range in the march vogue Australia. I saw vibrant and contrasting colours, and harsh thick stripes. I loved it! It was such a brave move for Prada. The fashion prior to this was all neutral and minimalist, but this really brought some sunshine to the catwalk.
Bright embroidery and large sombrero like hats
 woven bags
bright colours and black striped shoes
 thick multicoloured soles
fruity ' n fresh patterns. above is an easter egg painted in the same pattern as the shirt, a little DIY project for some easter fun!
 feather boas...more stripes

stripy bags to match the shoes, beading on the embroidered dresses
 wacky glasses
 wait a moment......
 these remind me of....
 WILLY WONKA!
can you see the resemblance?

studs

I have always stayed away from studs, thinking that I would look like a complete punk wearing them; as I am a minimalist girly girl. To me from the start studs were very fierce looking and intimidating and thats exactly what they are made for. So now I see them on fashion wears, I have seemed to change my view on studs and have become quite fond of them.
I wouldn't wear a black leather studded jacket because in my opinion it looks a little harsh on me, but this neutral colour jacket, with gold studs looks amazing, and more subtle.
these brouges look great with a few studs added to the front and back, again they are neutral. This you can do yourself at home to jazz up an old pair of shoes.
These multicoloured studded pumps are so gorgeous, please tell me where I can find them!
These suede pumps look great with studs added only to the heel, very chic and sophisticated.
I like these studded denim shorts, although some people would debate that they are trashy.

AUTUMN IS HERE

All around me I see is dark clothes, and not much colour. This is because everyone has been getting ready for Winter. It has been a miserable week; raining nonstop over hear in Melbourne. I think that we should embrace the fact that it is autumn even if the only colour we see around us is the bright leaves falling from the trees, the beautiful oranges, reds and yellows. How better to embrace this little ray colour other than to wear it!

piggy tails!

Piggy tails; the new trend on the catwalk! It is hard to pull off this look effectively, but with the right makeup, and attire it can look very chic and sophisticated, apposed to looking like you just started primary school. Here are some shots of models that I believe have effectively pulled off the Piggy Tails with style.
high slicked back piggy tails look very chic with dark smokey eyes and a thick hair tie/ scrunchie
It also looks great with neutral makeup, not many pinks or bright colored eyeshadow or you will end up looking like barbie.

Turbans, sick or sikh?

A little birdie told me that the new must have accessory is the turban! Wear it beside the pool or out for lunch. But do we think that they are strictly for Sikhs? (sikhism- an Indian religion where the men do not ever cut their hair, and always wear a turban when out in the public). I have put together some photos that may help you decide if you are game enough to wear a turban out.
